A series of imagined landscapes done in watercolor on Yupo, a waterproof paper. I alternated between adding and removing paint with large brushes, old t-shirts, foam rollers etc. Soft effects are hard on a waterproof paper and this series started out as a "I wonder if I can paint a cloud using this paper." This led to an obsession with memories, atmosphere, mood and landscape. It was also an interesting way to play with time, the passage of a day, the dimming of light, the receding of a storm. All of these paintings are either framed or mounted on panel.
